Gangalee is a literary hub with a perspective shaped by the art, music, food, and culture of the Afro-Caribbean Diaspora. Focusing on poetry, essays and cultural commentary, Gangalee prioritizes that perspective over any devotion to literary pretensions; and we love work that gives side eye and cut eye to the status quo.

Gangalee isn’t prescriptive about what contributors believe, with one teenie weenie toops of an exception—we’re not interested in any ISM built on the exploitation and degradation of Black (and Brown) bodies…all Black lives matter…take those isms elsewhere.
